“ This is our new spot to come to after work for their fun drinks and great apps. We love the fries and sliders off the Happy Hour menu. Get the signature drink too, Lime in the Coconut, comes with a "show". We have had quite a bit off the dinner menu and it was on point. Christian, who has been our server almost all the time we are there is a huge part of why we come back. He is a great asset to that place. Always helpful and seems like he enjoys his job. We feel like we are welcomed every time. Third Ave is changing for the better and love to support local and not have to deal with downtown SD craziness when we have amazing places in Chula. ”
“ Our waitstaff person, Cassie, was amazing. She was personable had good recommendations and very attentive. I had the Tangerine Dream to drink and it was very tasty. My friend had a Mai Thai, which also looked very good. We ordered the Poo Poo Platter, Poke Nachos, and two things of the Coconut shrimp. I highly recommend the Coconut shrimp. The spicy vinegar sauce was amazing! It was really cool entering through the alley door into the speakeasy, which was decorated tiki hut style. I loved the pufferfish lights hanging from the ceiling and the vibe of the place. Kevin, the owner even came over and chatted with us. This was a great experience and I will definitely be back! ”
“ Great food...but expect a different twist on things. Not your normal flavors but in a good way! Flavors like wasabi in potato salad just sound like crazy mixes but definitely tasted amazing. Strong drinks too! Will definitely go back to keep exploring the menu. ”
“ First time visit. We enjoyed the decor. The staff was helpful and efficient. I am vegan and was skeptical that there would be any options. We checked the menu ahead of time and surprisingly found a few solid options. I ordered the Mango Avocado Salad. Without adding (additional) protein options to it, it is fully vegan as it comes on the menu. This salad was AMAZING! The flavor combinations were incredible. The sweetness of the mango, the garlic, the fat of the avocado and the dressing which was more salty than spicy was just amazing. My husband ordered the ahi tuna burger which was served with potato salad. He said the fish was very fresh and he enjoyed it. ”
“ Tasty food from different tropic themed places such as Hawaii, Japan, Philippines. It was packed when we went there, and I think they were understaffed, but it took a while for us to get service (but our server was very kind and friendly and helpful). We got each of the three 7 happy hour items and they were all very good, especially the burgers. They were out of pulled pork. I got "mango sticky rice" and it had normal white rice and less than one bite worth of mango (the plate looked very pretty though) so I was a bit disappointed by that, but the rest of the food was great. Nice place and nice people. ”
“ Looking for plant based/vegan food in Chula Vista. The tofu bahn mi is delicious. And the signature lime in the coconut drink is delicious. Great service! Cool decorating. Parking out back! And near the bus line! ”
“ First time coming here. I didn't know that it was a speak-easy! Cool! Enjoyed the ambiance in the room. Our bartender was badazz! Tried her recommended mix cocktails. Loved it! Food was terrific. We tried the PuPu platter! A mix of a few bite sized things. Just enough to make you keep on drinking. Mos def will be returning! ”
“ I recently celebrated my birthday at Lime in the Coconut X Speakeasy, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was lovely, with its unique decor and cozy lounge area. The staff went above and beyond. It was perfect, making me feel incredibly special on my big day. The cocktails were absolutely divine, especially their scorpion bowl with an awesome fire show to it. We also ordered different drinks like the Tangerine Dream, Saturn and etc. But there's one drink taht is really pretty in a called the King Kamehameh. The food was really good. We ordered the Boa Buns amd the fish tacos. For dessert we got the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream on top. It's sooo warm and goodness . Overall, Lime in the Coconut Speakeasy made my birthday unforgettable. I highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic night out. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable! ”
